Hi Phyll,
you may not remember me (I have a new ID now but was kiwikat60 then) but I posted on your blog when Suzy died.
My Jess had the same arthritis and I was worried I would have to do the same as you.
However he died unexpectadly yesterday on the operating table. (He had a couple of tumours, one on his liver).
Your old posts about Suzy are now helping me and it is so good to see you spreading your love. I know I still have a lot of grieving to do but you words help.

Thank you for writing, again, Kathy. I'm very sorry to learn of Jess's passing and know that you loved him very much as he did you.
Our bonds of devotion to our pets is something ider than the widest ocean deeper than the deepest sea.
You know how wonderful it felt to be with Jess, and that feeling will stay with you forever. And with Jess. And for me and for Suzy. It's something that can't be broken and never will be.
I hope my writing gives you comfort. It's my way of dealing with grief so deep it can only be expressed, shared and communicated with other souls. Thank you for your response and words of comfort.
